2. Position: Diesel Motor Mechanic / Plant Mechanics/HD Fitters
Location: Australia

* Applicant must be qualified Plant or Heavy Duty Mechanics – Trade Qualification

* Duties and responsibilities will be:
* Examine drawings or specifications to determine job, and equipment requirements
* Carry out mechanical repairs and assembly as required
* Carry out measurements and calibrations as required
* Conduct testing and checking of operation of all items that were worked on
* Mark out materials with reference points and lines using templates, gauges and other measuring instrument
* Cut materials to size as required
* Join components by methods specified on drawings or specifications to from final products
* Check machine or components against specifications, drawings

To be successful in his role the candidate must have the following requirements:

* Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting
* Experience with Diesel and Gas Generator sets e.g. Caterpillar, MTU Detroit, Cummins
* Have a strong understanding of engine operations, function and equipment
* Specification and fitting of hoses – hydraulic, pneumatic, coolant, fuel
* Strong background in pipe work fabrication and installation (measuring, cutting, threading etc)
* Strong background in Genset assembly – alternator to engine
* Valid Driver’s License

4. Position: Vehicle Body Builder

* 5+ years of experience in vehicle body building/ manufacturing of purpose built bodies to fit chassis
* Trade Certificate
* Strong experience in modifying and repairing vehicle bodies and chassis
* Able to apply fabrications techniques appropriate to drawing specifications and available equipment
* Strong background in GMAW
* Experience in the removal and fitting of hydraulic truck systems
* Valid Driver’s License – required.

5. Position: Welder

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience Essential:

* Male

* At least 6 year(s) of work experience
* Trade Certification
* Significant industry experience in high quality work whilst using MMAW, FCAW and GTAW processes

* Have extensive experience in 6G weld procedure 560A minimum
* Proven ability to pass an ASME 1 X Pipe Weld Test
* Proven experience in Stove pipe welding (Fleetweld 5P)

6. Position: Mechanical Fitter (Fitter and Turner – Fixed Plant Maintenance)

* 5+ years of experience working on a mine site or in a large scale quarry or processing environment as a Fitter and Turner
* Experience as a qualified tradesperson carrying out maintenance work on fixed plant within a minerals processing operation – must have trade certificates
* Demonstrated fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
* Must be willing to take a share of call-out work for breakdown repairs (standby duties)

* Current Drivers License – this is required

* Experience in maintaining Symond’s crushers, screens, bucket wheel excavators, Conveyor belts and structures, ship loading cantilevers and cascade chutes would be an advantage.
* Competency in machining of typical spare parts Bushes, Shafts and thread cutting using basic machining equipment.
* Carry out all tasks using safe work procedures, maintain high safety awareness
* Diagnose faults, inspect and test machinery and plant and determine repair action required.
